Guns and shooting: why have a primary handgun?

“By holding out advantages to him, he can cause the enemy to approach of his own accord; or, by inflicting damage, he can make it impossible for the enemy to draw near.” Sun Tsu

My approach to self-defense has been clear for years, “Do not be an aggressor against anyone or anyone’s property, if someone acts with aggression against you or your property, defend yourself or your property.” I have adjusted my approach with time, “Adding – I believe in the defense of the innocent against aggression for which they have no or are currently incapable of defense, this does not extend to the states mandates regarding protecting individuals from themselves. I will not interfere in a person’s choices unless those choices are a clear threat to my well-being or safety.”

Owning a primary handgun, training with it, ensuring your family can use it is essential to the safety and well-being of your family and those you are trusted with caring for. Natural law alone states that defense of young and self is paramount to any others life, regardless nature of that being. This is why you will see smaller animals in unwinnable situations, when attempting to protect their young. It is also why you will see smaller animals banding together voluntarily to defend against larger prey animals. This is most easily observed in the bird community.

Modern humans believe that their reliance on others for everything from health to wealth is more important than the individual’s life to the individual. While not all believe this silliness, many do, hence the continued attempts to disarm all individuals and the utilization of incorrect, incomplete and or simply wrong information in the battle against the individual. When it comes to laws and rules, I will not tell you what to do. I can offer suggestions and alternative approaches. However, because, again, my family’s lives are more important than yours…I will not say anything that can be construed as legally liable. Hence my disclaimer for the following information, use it if you WISH, understanding that it has precedent, but do not use it and apply my name to it as someone who has told you to use it.

Self-defense is never wrong, if you or yours are attacked with violent intent, with the result of such attack being permanent injury or death as a real possibility, than causing that threat to be discontinued permanently is within reason. When speaking to police, IF that is necessary, do so using a very simple approach.

  1. I was attacked by that (individual) and wish to press charges

  2. I defended myself (the weapon is there)

  3. They were witnesses- (always utilize loud verbalizations such as, STOP, DROP THE WEAPON, I WILL DEFEND MYSELF. – so all witnesses view you as victim, very important)

  4. I will sign the complaint/ report

  5. I would like to speak with my counsel/lawyer etc.,

Remember folks, simply owning a firearm does not by default solve all your problems. It is more important to understand how to use it, WHAT TO SAY and when NOT TO SPEAK. Until government no longer dictates our lives understanding and using their system to protect yourself is not a bad idea. (Never mention admiralty law or any of that sovereign crap, you will LOSE every single time!)

If it is voluntary between all individuals involved, it is always good. If it is not voluntary between those involved, it is always bad.
