Being a Millenial in a world run by Gen X and BabyBoomers: Stop obeying them!

It is easy to ignore responsibility when one is only an intermediate link in a chain of action.” Stanley Milgram

Millenials, those who reached adulthood around the turn of the 21st century are the current driving force behind economies and new wave politics. Their entire lives have been focused around new and emerging technologies and often their friends are largely digital versus simply being RL (real life) as it were. This term, millenial, is generally meant to define individuals born between 1976 and 2004.

What is it that defines a millenial?

According to some (mostly Gen Xr’s or before) we are seen as a destructive force to the entrenched moral and socioeconomic approaches that have ruled the world for centuries.

Many millenials see knowledge as something that should be freely available to all, including higher education. We see resources that can be easily divided among all living humans. Gen X and BabyBoomers see us as a resource that should be exploited!

As a millenial I often see Gen Xr’s and those before as the ones who allowed what we have now to get where it is now. After all, per their laws and rules we havent even been able to “legally” change anything until relatively recently. Most of us either havent voted yet, refuse to vote or when we have vote in independent ways compared to the old system set-up by those who simply followed what was because they never realized they could think for themselves.

Now understand, I am not in any way supporting much of what the millenial generation is doing. In fact I am very much against it, simply because much of what they do is guided by Gen Xr’s with an agenda, that agenda is simple, DONT CHANGE WHAT IS. I may be alone but I see those in my age range as the last generation capable of truly changing what is. Of course this change is not something that can be accomplished through voting or laws, but rather at this stage will take a push of a different nature. Whether they are capable of doing so or able to do so, this remains to be seen.

The tipping point however, has been reached and passed.

I want to believe in my fellow millenials, I want to believe that they strive for freedom, for change in a positive way and that not all of them are crazy new wave feminists, race mongering fiends and assholes. I do understand that most millenials are selfish bastards, shit, I am. And guess what, thats not a bad thing to be. It is simply how we approach and use that selfish desire to succeed, have, gain, want and how we go about obtaining that.

We have to remember it was our parents that discarded us for the sake of values long dead that made us what we are now.

We have to remember that it was the generations before us that brought us to where we are now!

More importantly, it is absolutely essential that we remember, we DO NOT NEED the same institutional approach that has been pounded into our heads since birth to survive and thrive. Rather WE as INDIVIDUALS must remember, that we can improve the world, eradicate starvation, disease, war and more. We simply have to stop taking orders from the generations before us. Their time is over, our time is NOW.

If you are like me, a Millenial who truly wants to see his children grow up in a clean, resource abundant world free of war and oppression from governments, to accomplish this we must be willing to selfishly sacrifice our own lives. I am, are you?

Take responsibility for your own life, stop allowing the GenX and BabyBoomer generations control over you. You own your own life, take it, control it, stop following them!

Are you tired of war?

Are you tired of seeing starving people in your own cities regardless where you live?

Are you tired of religious and political oppression?

Are you tired of being forced to choose sides when it comes to race, sex and who we are as individuals?

I am-

Help me spread the message, no more bullshit from old men and women who simply want to control us. Stop those who would do business and politics specifically designed to war against us. Stop buying the dream that things make the person. Stop engaging with and allowing hypocritical politically motivated corporate owned people control over you.

Dont watch mainstream media- PIRATE EVERYTHING! – stop following ANY and ALL politicians who are over 40. We dont need them. If you are current active military or a cop and a millenial who sees the same problems we all do, STOP FOLLOWING ORDERS.

The only way the current system can continue is for it too have support, so STOP SUPPORTING IT. If the person you follow is over 40, they are lying too you, and if you can find someone in power over 40 who isnt lying too you- well, miracles must happen than.

The old way is gone, it doesnt need fixed, it needs eradicated!

Free the mind and the body will follow.

    • I agree, however, would you not agree that we are where we are because of who raised this generation and the one before it…?

Only to a degree do i blame a Portion of a generation of people, but for some, there is no help and we call them sheep.
I used to have this conflict in my mind as well while struggling with my grand parents (GI Generation) comments on Baby boomers and Generation X.
My Initial thought process was flawed because i tried to group people within boundaries that simply do not exist from one generation to the next as Idealism is fluid, Looking back into history proves that no one generation is greater than another as we are just people. Old or Young. Foolish or Wise.

        • Very true yet again. I think the largest reason I posted this is that I am tired of my generation being blamed for the problems wrought upon us by those before – who instituted public indoctrination and flag waving hypocrisy? Who banned our guns, not this generation, no- it was grandpa/their dads and ours.

          Bush 1 in 84- remember?

          65-68 who was president?

          Reagan also did it…

And yet, its us, the millenials who both suffer from and are blamed for the problems resulting.

          Thats all im saying.

I absolutely agree. We MUST TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY – however, the shit from old people, its over- and must end. Make sense?

I am responsible for my own actions, when wrong ill admit it- however, in this I am simply stating a true point we face today.

Information, this is a resource, something that should not and cannot be reserved only for the old and rich. But for all which is why I promote, support and have several times showed others how to take.

          😉

This article is advice from a retarded child. “Think for yourself! Mindlessly obey the script I’m telling you!”
Do they actually fall for this idiocy? From people who complain of racism, sexism, and every other ism, but want the latest generation to blindly believe anyone with age is an enemy. Oh, and somehow pirating everything is supposed to help. He doesn’t say how, or why. He doesn’t provide any actual reasons, or provide evidence of ANY of his claims. Good thing there are plenty of young people who do have brains and are willing to use it.

  3. Just for the record, Gen Xers didn’t run anything. We just don’t have the numbers the Boomers have.
