A repost from offgrid news…

“A dog is easily one of the best means of home defense. Interestingly enough, it often isn’t just the intimidation factor of the dog but the fact that they make a lot of noise which draws attention. For this reason a watch dog can be very valuable.”

My input on the article is simple, signs are beneficial as are fences and more. Though I would suggest something far less visually obtrusive and more beneficial, a low 3′ wall with 3′ in ground makes it impossible to terminate it. It will prevent vehicles from engaging directly your house. This wall should be placed a minimum of 100 yards from house itself if you have space. If you dont, ensure it is easily within your defined distances for marksmenship. Be aware it can be used as a barrier, so dont make it bullet proof, only vehicle proof. How so you ask- well- I will be presenting an article that outlines exactly this over the next few weeks.

Additionally, never use wireless or connected (to alarm companies) surveillance systems. Make sure they are always, always hard wired and caged to prevent external disturbances. If possible use ballistic glass/poly material to cover the lens.

Anyhow, we will continue this in the future article keep your eyes out for it folks it will be a good one.

About Jesse Mathewson

Jesse Mathewson is the author of the popular blog, jessetalksback.com and provides commentary to many varied places based on a background that includes education in criminal justice, history, religion and even insurgency tactics and tactical training. His current role in his community is as an organizer of sorts and a preacher of community solidarity and agorism. He also runs Liberty Practical Training, a self defense school specializing in the practical applications of defensive approaches versus the theoretical. As an agorist, voluntaryist and atheist his life is seen as crazy and wild by many, though once they get to know him most realize he is a bluntly honest individual who will give you the shirt off his back if he believes it is necessary to help you. Very simple, "That which is voluntary between all individuals involved is always right, if it is not voluntary, it is always wrong."
