Interesting developments in the Kelly Thomas murder saga. The media has been picking up the largely ignored Kelly Thomas murder and as a result the easily led sheeple who gorge themselves on 30 second sound bytes are just beginning to be upset by something that happened quite awhile ago and continues to occur unabated today. On the 9th of February an individual who no doubt hid behind his phone while snapping the picture of the murderer posted regarding Manuel Ramos. Manuel Ramos if you have followed the saga is one of the several cops who ganged up on and beat Kelly Thomas to death in Fullerton, California this month in 2011.
This post quickly gained momentum and became a viral object for people around the world, being further pushed by an OC Weekly blog post earlier today. Personally, I find this article typical of the American approach to everything. For while thousands of people who dont know Kelly Thomas, many whom would have quickly called him a dirty bum if they ran into him on the street are mourning aimlessly. Millions of murdering badged and uniformed people are getting their discounts for doing exactly what Manuel Ramos is being ostracised for. And this illustrates the vast amount of cognitive dissonance that is alive and well within both the “liberty” community and statism.
So here is my question, why is a badge or a uniform a hero when they follow orders and a villain when someone changes those orders or needs a scapegoat? Are these uniforms and badges really heroes? Or is the entire idea a myth based on a nationalistic spirit and augmented by the farce of “brotherhood” fostered and strongly promoted by many within the liberty movement and outside of it?
Am I the only one that sees the disconnect and issue here?
If so, this may be allot lonelier a road then I originally imagined but, still necessary for at least my road is not paved with the blood of innocents at the behest of tyrants.
