When your word relies on another, what do you do when they fail?

The first question is, should the fulfilment of your word ever rely on another’s promised delivery of product?

In the modern world much of what we do relies on others abilities to fulfill their commitments. After all most of us do not have a private global internet network, our own planes, our own delivery service etc., so what do we do when another’s failure to communicate and or fulfil their agreed upon services causes issues with the fulfilment of our services or goods to others?

In my case I make the offer to return the person or persons monies, and still fulfil their original request if it eventually becomes available. This is the offer I make to those who have donated with the promise of a shirt being attached. Please email me directly at jesse.mathewson@hotmail.com. I will keep an eye out and do my best to return ALL emails directly. I apologize to those who have not received their shirts, they have been ordered and paid for, however, at this time there has been NO communication from the supplier as to when they will be sent.

If this continues I will be forced to cease my business relationships and potentially bring to light all communications and deals made along with lack of fulfilment so that my many thousands of readers may be able to decide if they will do business with them in the future. I have attempted many times to communicate and have been either avoided or ignored neither of which is a good thing. Regardless please accept my apologies for lack of fulfilment and contact me directly for refunds and times for said refunds.

Free the mind and the body will follow

About Jesse Mathewson

Jesse Mathewson is the author of the popular blog, jessetalksback.com and provides commentary to many varied places based on a background that includes education in criminal justice, history, religion and even insurgency tactics and tactical training. His current role in his community is as an organizer of sorts and a preacher of community solidarity and agorism. He also runs Liberty Practical Training, a self defense school specializing in the practical applications of defensive approaches versus the theoretical. As an agorist, voluntaryist and atheist his life is seen as crazy and wild by many, though once they get to know him most realize he is a bluntly honest individual who will give you the shirt off his back if he believes it is necessary to help you. Very simple, "That which is voluntary between all individuals involved is always right, if it is not voluntary, it is always wrong."

  2. … I want to start Reputation Hub rephub.com to help with this issue. This website would be a central hub for all reviews including eBay, gunbroker, LinkedIn, TripAdvisor etc… I would be able to rate my transactions with people and businesses, and evaluate them based on THEIR history… in time, folks might even perform better if they know they risk a bad review… there would be an app on your phone and links and embedded results on people’s webpages…

I don’t have time or money to do this project .. but if anyone has $15 to $20 million and some time, it could be a big hit! Run with it! 🙂
